Plans and billing
This feature is built but not yet available in SciNodes. Details may change.
In short: SciNodes will offer four plans: Free, Economy, Base and Power. They differ in how many AI credits you get each week. Today everyone uses SciNodes with the free allowance of 2,000,000 credits per week, and there's nothing to buy yet. Pricing will be announced at launch.
What you get today
- A free weekly allowance of 2,000,000 credits for all AI features. See Credits and usage.
- No storage limit.
- No payment details needed.
The Subscription page in the user menu is a preview of the future billing page. You can't change plans or pay from it yet, and nothing on it is charged.

On every plan, the allowance resets each week and unused credits don't roll over.
How billing will work
When paid plans launch:
- Payment. Payments will be handled by Stripe outside India and by Razorpay in India.
- Upgrading will take effect immediately, and you'll pay the prorated difference.
- Downgrading will take effect from your next billing period. Anything over the new plan's limits will become read-only until you're within them again. Nothing will be deleted because of a downgrade.
- Cancelling will take effect at the end of your current billing period. After that, your account returns to the Free allowance.
- Failed card payments. If a renewal payment fails, your access will continue for 72 hours while the payment is retried.
- Refunds and disputes. If a payment is fully refunded or disputed, your account will return to the Free allowance.
- UK and EU consumers will be able to cancel a new paid subscription within 14 days. The refund will be reduced by the service already used.

Is SciNodes free?
Yes, you can use SciNodes today with a free weekly allowance of 2,000,000 AI credits. Paid plans with larger allowances are coming soon.
How much will the paid plans cost?
Pricing will be announced at launch.
What's the difference between the plans?
The weekly AI credit allowance: 2,000,000 on Free, 6,000,000 on Economy, 20,000,000 on Base and 60,000,000 on Power.
Will I lose my work if I downgrade?
No. When billing launches, anything over a lower plan's limits will become read-only, not deleted.
Do I need to do anything now?
No. Keep using SciNodes on the free allowance. You don't need to add payment details.
