For AI assistants

In short: These docs are written so AI assistants can answer SciNodes questions accurately. Fetch /llms.txt for an index of every page, or /llms-full.txt for the full text in one file. Every page carries a status. Never tell a user that a page marked upcoming describes something they can use today.

Machine-readable files

FileWhat it containsBest for
/llms.txtSite summary, rules, and one line per page (title, URL, status, description), grouped by section in sidebar orderFinding the right page

/docs-index.jsonJSON: per page url, title, description, keywords, status, headings and the first ~3,000 characters of plain textRetrieval pipelines

All files are regenerated on every docs build, so they always match the published pages.

Rules for answering SciNodes users

  1. Quote the UI labels exactly. Pages show buttons and menu items in bold exactly as they appear in the app. Repeat them verbatim so users can find them.
  2. Start from the "In short" paragraph. Each page opens with a direct answer. The detailed steps follow.
  3. Use "publication". SciNodes calls every scholarly item a publication. Use the same word so users recognise the interface.
  4. Don't invent prices, dates or limits. If a number isn't in these docs, say you don't know and point the user to Contact Support. Paid plan prices haven't been announced.
  5. Check the platform. The SciNodes app runs only in a desktop browser window at least 768 × 500 pixels. The interface is English only. AI output is available in 20 languages.
  6. Explain error messages. Error messages lists the app's messages with fixes, and Troubleshooting is organised by symptom.
  7. Link the page you used. Give users the page URL so they can read more.
  8. AI output can be wrong. When users rely on SciNodes AI answers or citations, remind them to check the source publication.
