Keyboard shortcuts

In short: SciNodes has a small set of shortcuts, mostly for maps, library selection, chats and notes. On a Mac, use Cmd wherever this page says Ctrl. There are no global shortcuts for undo, redo or switching tabs. Use the on-screen buttons instead.

The zoom keys do nothing if you hold Ctrl, Cmd or Alt, so they don't clash with browser zoom. See Selecting, merging and excluding and Map controls and styling.

Tips

  • To undo or redo, use the undo and redo buttons. They appear where something can be undone, and their tooltip names the action.
  • To switch work desk tabs, click the tab names.

FAQ

Is there a keyboard shortcut for undo?

No. Use the undo and redo buttons. Their tooltip names the action, or says "Nothing to undo".

How do I select several nodes on a map?

Hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) and click each node or edge.

Why doesn't + zoom the map?

The zoom keys don't work while you're typing in a text box, or while you hold Ctrl, Cmd or Alt. Click out of the box and try again, or use the zoom buttons on the map.
