Share a project with collaborators
In short: To share a project, open Project Settings (the gear icon), type a colleague's email under Collaborators, choose Editor or Viewer, and click Send invite. Only the project's owner can share it, and the person must already have a SciNodes account. They get access straight away, and the project appears under Shared in their sidebar.
Invite a collaborator
- Open the project and click the gear icon to open Project Settings.
- Under Collaborators, type the person's email in "Invite by email...".
- Choose Editor or Viewer from the list next to it.
- Click Send invite. The button shows "Sharing…".
- You see "Shared with email." and the person appears in the member list.
Use the email address the person's SciNodes account is registered with. If they don't have an account yet, ask them to create one at app.scinodes.com first. See Create your account.

A project has exactly one owner. Ownership can't be transferred.
Change a role or remove someone
Only the owner can do this, in Project Settings → Collaborators:
- Change a role: choose Editor or Viewer in the list next to the person's name. It changes immediately.
- Remove someone: click × (Remove member) next to their name. They lose access immediately. There's no confirmation step.
Leave a project shared with you
- Open the project and click the gear icon.
- Under Collaborators, click × (Remove member) next to your own name.
You lose access straight away. The owner can invite you again later. The owner can't leave their own project; they can archive or delete it instead.
