Search publications, authors and venues in SciVerse
In short: Type a term into the search box on sciverse.scinodes.com and click Explore. On the results page, results refresh as you type. Use the tabs All, Publications, Authors, Organizations, Journals, Conferences and Topics to choose the kind of result, and Sort to order them by Relevance, Newest or Most cited. You can keep several searches open as tabs.
Run a search
- Go to sciverse.scinodes.com.
- Type into "Search publications, authors, organizations, topics…", for example "climate change mitigation".
- Click Explore or press

What a result card shows
- Title or name. For authors, organizations, journals and conferences, click it to open the detail page. Publication and topic titles aren't clickable yet (coming soon).
- Type, such as Publication, Author or Journal. Preprints show "Preprint".
- A subtitle line, such as authors, an affiliation or a venue.
- Counts: the year for publications, "N citations", and "N publications" for authors, organizations and venues. Large numbers are shortened, for example "102K".
- Badges: "Open access" and "Retracted".
- Topic tags. Click one to open the keyword page with that name. Not every topic is also a keyword.
- Add to SciNodes on publication cards. See Add to SciNodes.
Sort options
| Sort | Order |
|---|---|
| Relevance | Best match to your search term first (default) |
| Newest | Most recent first |
| Most cited | Highest citation count first |
Keep several searches open
- Click + New above the search box. A blank tab called "New search" opens.
- Type a term. The tab takes the name of your search.
- Click a tab to switch back. Each tab keeps its own term, type tab, filters and sort.
- When two or more searches are open, click ✕ on a tab to close it, or Close all to close every tab. SciVerse asks "Close all searches?" first.
When you move to another SciVerse page, the "Open searches" bar lists your searches. Click one to return to it. Open searches last while you stay on SciVerse in the same browser tab. Reloading the page clears them.
